The fixing nut, also known as the thread nut, is a plastic element that has the function of fixing the fuel module in the tank. It is worth mentioning that this fixation is performed only in plastic tanks, which means that it is not applicable in vehicles with a metal tank.

In addition to the fixation, the nut works together with the gasket, being responsible for sealing the entire system and, thus, preventing odors and possible fuel leaks.
